It was designed by the innovative pedal builder Paul Cochrane and quickly generated a dedicated following based on its signature open, un-compressed overdrive tone and flexible EQ options. The Timmy stands out due to its transparency and dynamic response. It excels at pushing tube amps into natural-sounding valve saturation without excessive compression or distortion. This makes it useful for adding tube-amp like breakup at lower volumes or driving amps into more vocal-like singing sustain. These pedals are still produced by Paul Cochrane himself in the USA.
